Hi all,
Lee Sheridan here. Just a few updates to share with you. This is an exciting time to be a Pat Ingoldsby fan. I've been invited to read at the launch of Pat's latest work, a posthumous collection titled Out of the Blue... Pink, which has been compiled by Vivienne Baillie and features 300 unpublished poems. The book will be launched in Chapters Book Store on the 30th of October at 7 p.m. Also at the launch will be Jan Brierton, Steve O'Toole, and Brush Shiels of Skidrow.
Our crowdfunding campaign to raise money for a spoken word album that will celebrate Pat's life has gotten off to a good start. People have helped by donating to our GoFundMe campaign and by pre-ordering a physical copy of the album here. To those that have donated and pre-ordered already, thank you!
With that in mind, we still have a good bit to go. Presently, we're just under €5000 away from being able to bring this album into being. The work has begun but we can't finish it without your help. Even if you can't afford to donate, you can support us by sharing this post and telling people about the project.
Since the campaign has begun, there have been some developments. The spoken word artists that were invited to read on the album include: Imelda May, Stephen James Smith, Anna D., Jan Brierton, Emmet O'Brien, Daragh Fleming, Mikey Cullen, Lee Sheridan, Annie Peter, Holly Hughes, Leon Dunne, Ryan Duggins, Steve O'Toole and Stephen Maguire. Originally, the album was set to have 16 tracks, however, Imelda May wanted to read a second poem - her favourite poem by Pat, I Miss You. David Hynes of the Poetry Kiln Collective has also been added to the roster, bringing the number of tracks to 18.
So please, if you can spare any amount, know that it will be a big help. If all our subcribers donated even €5, this would make such a difference. Thank you!
